Morningside Road Reconstruction Project

After years of planning and preliminary work, the Morningside Road Reconstruction Project is finally scheduled to begin on Monday, June 23, 2025.  Morningside Road is located between County Road R and Wiley Road in the Town of Lebanon in Dodge County.  The new roadway will be widened with gravel shoulders added.  The vertical alignment will be lowered at the existing “crests” to improve sight distances.

The road will be closed to through traffic beginning on Monday, June 23 when the project will begin with installation of erosion control measures, clearing and grubbing.  Starting about July 7th, the existing pavement will be pulverized and culverts will be replaced.  If all goes as planned, the project should be completed by October 1st.

The 2-mile Morningside Road Reconstruction project is made possible through a Town Road Improvement Supplemental (TRIS) grant of up to $1,670,464. The TRIS grant is a component of the WisDOT Local Roads Improvement Program, a reimbursement program of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation which assists local units of government in improving deteriorating roads with the balance matched by the local unit of government.

Kopplin & Kinas Co Inc of Green Lake, Wisconsin is the general contractor on the project.  The project engineer is MSA Professional Services, Inc. of Beaver Dam.  Town of Lebanon Highway Superintendent Brent Boyd may be contacted with any questions or concerns.
